Below are three student stories that demonstrate how our students live our four core values and take on leadership roles..  Over the last three years, students from Leaders were selected to present and tell their stories at NYC Outward Bound Schools annual galas based on their leadership at Leaders and the larger network of EL Education Schools in NYC.  Their stories are not extraordinary examples but typical powerful stories of the student population at Leaders.

Student Stories: Jharol Aguirre

.

Jharol came to the United States as an undocumented immigrant from Honduras, and when he arrived at Leaders as a sophomore he was already disillusioned with high school. Since then he has become an invaluable part of our community as a peer mentor and role model for many underclassmen.
