Writing Across Contents
On the left are four student PBATS one from each of the core subject areas - English, history, math, and science.
These samples are representative of each content area from 2015-2016 and were collected from department teams after completing looking at student work protocols. Each sample also illustrates how all students must write in-depth about an original topic.
Summary of Evidence:

Students complete PBATs in every subject area each semester. Through PBATs, students demonstrate how they have met state standards in each subject area. PBATs hold students to higher standards than “one-size-fits-all” standardized tests and are important preparation for college and career. Below are examples of student PBATs in the four core subject areas - English, history, math, and science.
